Is it only my perception of it, or are there actually quite a bit more lunatics coming into possession of these journals. As if the advertisements weren't bad enough, and the inability to block the writings of people we'd rather not read, now we must contend with too obvious madness?
At least Nott has an excuse.

I doubt that anyone who I care to speak with has seats too far away from it, but if you happen by the Malfoy box on your way to your own seats, do say hello. I'm sure the game will be thrilling, though I anticipate Scotland taking it.

Wedding planning seems quite a bit easier than I had always been led to believe it might be. It's as if I'm being asked to do no work at all. I suppose that means my opinion counts for very little. Then again, perhaps the benefit of a long engagement is that those little things don't overwhelm a person all at once.

I found a rather pertinent quote that I could have used here to sum up my current opinion of the lot of you, but I decided against it. I wouldn't want to start sounding like Nott, after all.
I will say it is a pity that this decree did not come earlier. I could have complained properly before the current change in staff. With previous staffs, I'd have much preferred Durmstrang. With things looking up, as they are now, I'm quite happy to complete my education here.

Rousing game, Slytherin. Though a bit ridiculous, how long it took to thrash them. Vaisey, you might ought to ask Hooch to check the charms on the school's Snitch - they might be fading. I think it was asleep somewhere, for those first five hours or so.

While I appreciate that some people might be running about like the proverbial dead chickens, frantic owls and urgings to come back to Hogwarts are absolutely ridiculous when I am not, nor are any of my school acquaintances, the subject of any of the current chaos. To whit, there is no one who would ever dispute my family line. I don't see why I should care what they're doing to mudbloods.
I will be returning to school on Monday, just as everyone else who has no reason to run from the Ministry should be doing. My sympathies, though, for those who are being forced back by their families when they need not be. It does make your bloodlines look awfully suspicious, which at the moment means that your parents are morons.
It does make me wonder what will happen to all of the mudbloods at school, though. I'm sure you don't really think you'll be safe there for long?

I hadn't thought much about this curfew one way or the other, but it is rather nice to be able to do evening shopping and not worry about the mudbloods around you - as they aren't there to make a nuisance of themselves.

I cannot quite remember ever looking forward to the train home for holidays quite so much. To be rid of this ridiculous excuse for a school, and its administration. Aside from a select handful of you who I am sure to see over the holidays as part of good society anyway, I revel in the fact that I'll be free of the whole lot of you.
And good show, Hufflepuff. You really were in characteristic form.

For all the whinging and moaning about Slytherin being on the receiving end of Professor Snape’s favoritism over the years, you’d think certain people would be a bit less obvious about their plans to use McGonagall’s sympathies to sway things this term in their direction.
Perhaps it's a family trait – red hair, no money, and a decided lack of both cunning and social skills.

I thought that nothing could be as tediously boring as this past summer until our new Headmistress stood up to speak. It's almost enough to make me miss the senility of past years.
Younger, more impressionable students: By all means, order things from the Weasley shop. It is always appropriate to support charities.
